Abstract

With the increase in the longevity of pets, mainly dogs and cats, due to the closer relationship with humans and the clinical, therapeutic and diagnostic advances that have occurred in veterinary medicine, there has been a greater occurrence of oncological cases in the routine of care of small animals. This article, through a bibliographic review, aimed to identify and cite the advantages of the applicability of imaging exams, more precisely computed tomography (CT), in oncological cases of tumor of the mammary glands, aiming to demonstrate its importance in the diagnosis, staging and therapeutic planning in veterinary oncology clinical routine.
