Abstract

Ozone therapy is a treatment used for several diseases but as this technique provides bactericidal, virucidal, fungicidal and healing effects. It’s greatest indication is the treatment of wounds, because it is a low-cost and, low-risk treatment with few contraindications, when correctly applied, it usually presents satisfactory results. Ozone therapy can be used alone or associated with other therapeutic methods. This paper reports the use of ozone therapy as an adjunctive treatment in the healing of post-surgical wounds in a dog with a neurofibersarcome in the right hind leg.
