Apis mellifica in cases of canine contact dermatitis

Abstract

Homeopathy is a specialty within Veterinary Medicine and presents itself as an important resource in science for working on the welfare, treatment and balance of nature, in order to treat all living beings and prioritize health, within the One Health concept. This article describes the use of the homeopathic medicine Apis Mellifica 6 cH in four cases of canine type 1 hypersensitivity. The drug was administered orally, based on the variable dependent on the severity of the condition. In the case of contact dermatitis due to insect bites, Apis Mellifica 6 cH was used by the plus method. In cases of plant contact dermatitis, Apis Mellifica 6 cH, three globules was used twice a day for five days. Homeopathy proved to be effective in the cases mentioned above and its applicability can be considered as another possibility of treatment for allergic dermatopathy.
