Abstract

Objective: To present a literature review on the effects of nutrition on the reproduction of bulls, addressing the mauler of the need are not of specific nutrients by the reproductive organs of such animals. Data Solaces: Collection of the library of the Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária e Zootecnia da Universidade de São Paulo (School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science of the University of São Paulo), São Paulo, Sp, Brazil. Data Synthesis: Specific literature points out that some nutrients, such as proteins, energy, minerals and vitamins can affect the function of organs of the reproductive system, but also lists studies stating that such organs do not have specie nutritional requirements, superior to those of the rest of the body. Comments: The influence of nutrition on the physiologic aspect of reproduction can only be valid in well/ balanced samples and for observation periods between one year and a half and Three years.
