Abstract

This article presents a case report of anesthesia performed on a feline diagnosed with traumatic diaphragmatic rupture. Diaphragmatic rupture is a rare but potentially fatal condition that requires immediate surgical intervention. In the case presented, the feline underwent general anesthesia for the repair surgery of the diaphragmatic rupture. The choice of anesthetic agents, intraoperative monitoring, and postoperative care are discussed throughout the text. The report highlights the importance of a careful, thorough, and multimodal approach to the anesthetic management of complex trauma cases in felines, aiming to ensure patient safety and the success of the surgical procedure.
